No Fat Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies

For your Halloween time! These are No fat, except for the chocolate chips. If you can find chocolate chips with no fat in them, that would be the better!
The pumpkin in this recipe replaces the butter, giving you a healthier cookie the way that apple sauce often does in muffins and cakes.
Lacking of fat, the cookie is less chewy and more cake-like. It also will not go crunchy but remain fluffy.

15 oz. can of pumpkin
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg
3 cups flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp baking soda
Pkg. dark chocolate chips
Chopped pecans (optional)

Preheat your oven to 375. Mix the pumpkin, sugars and egg until blended. Add the flour, salt and baking soda.
Fold in the nuts and the chips, then spoon heapfuls onto a cookie sheet. Bake at 375 for 14 minutes.
